Our reception site
Our reception will be at the General's House at Lion's Gate. It is a private two story house with a huge backyard. Most of the reception will be outside. The tables will be set up on the lawn, and dancing will be on the "brick" patio. The inside will really only be used if it is really hot on our wedding day. There are 4 bathrooms and many sitting rooms where people can hang out. I think one of the sitting rooms will be set aside as a napping room for the little ones.

The Date is Set
So we've set the date for the wedding, June 16, 2007. The ceremony is going to be at the Cathedral in downtown sacramento, the place I really wanted to have it if it was going to be in a church. The only bad thing is that they charge $2000 to have it there, so money is going to come out from somewhere else. Mike and I just booked Lions Gate for the reception this past Friday. It's exactly what I wanted, except there is no gazeebo, but everything else is perfect. It's outside with lots of plants and flowers with a private building attached to go inside if it gets too hot. Hopefully it won't though. The upstairs has two bedrooms and is included in the package as our honeymoon suite, champange and breakfast included. The next big things are the photographer, florist, and DJ. It's quite exciting.
I have been making more progress on the thesis, although I'd rather spend all my time on the wedding planning.
I had an interview for my current job and I think I did pretty well. They basically said that as long as we interviewed well that we would be reccomended for permanent employment. It sure is weird interviewing to keep your own job. I should know if I got the job Monday or Tuesday.
